Gallows Hill - Scarborough

The property was unbelievable and friendly, I would definitely recommend!

The room was very spacious, soft bed.

The food offer is high quality.

everything was perfect, good location next to the garden in the sunshine with a bottle of fizz and an afternoon tea as well as beautiful surroundings, helpful staff. the breakfast was delicious and there was a wide range of high quality food.

The room was amazing and lovely, but best of all was garden view.

The rooms are airy and huge and complete with garden, the dining table, lovely views. The hotel offers gorgeous location near gallows hill which is a 2 minute drive from seamer, and Scarborough, Filey and Whitby.

Incredibly beautiful hotel with airy rooms and exceptional view of the garden. Plenty of options for delicious breakfast.

Totally recommend for a fleeting trip

Immaculate room, excellent breakfast, where we enjoyed a generous meal each morning and had all the essential amenities, including a tv and free Wi-Fi, just a short drive from the nearest airport.

No complaints.

We enjoyed our stay in a lovely superior two-bedroom suite with a great view of the gardens and saw deer wandering around, which was so cool! The relaxing pool and well-kept gardens were perfect for unwinding after our day trips. Just a heads-up, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty during our stay, but it didn't ruin our time! 🌼

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

Our family enjoyed a spacious two-bedroom suite. The proximity to local attractions was fantastic. The lack of bedside lighting and weak Wi-Fi in the room made streaming difficult. Consider bringing a bedside lamp for convenience.

The Two-Bedroom Suite provides ample space for families, which my 5-year-old appreciated-he claimed his own bedroom. The decor feels cozy and inviting.

We experienced a few hiccups . Breakfast options seemed limited for kids despite variety-five pastries were unnecessary when some of us don't eat them. The main bedroom's small double felt cramped. A king-sized bed would have been more suitable. And our breakfast served on a tray was nice, but it generated a lot of waste due to the surprise selection. Wi-Fi connectivity was unreliable as it only worked for a short while and wasn't available afterward.

Gallows Hill is beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious, accessible, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly loved the peaceful area and the really good service from Cressida.

A second mirror near the dining table would help.

Gallows Hill feels like a hidden gem just outside Scarborough. The peaceful ambiance makes it perfect for relaxation. The gardens are fine. I loved the breakfast delivered right to my door in the morning. It was abundant and tasty, but the surprise selection felt wasteful. A menu to choose from would help reduce that. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but the small double bed seemed too cramped for two. It would be more enjoyable with a larger bed. The cleanliness and friendly service really stood out to me.

The peaceful surroundings were amazing, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Our room was super comfy too! Just wish there was a second mirror near the dining table for the kids. 😊

Perfect escape for families

The breakfast served at our room every morning was very nice, fresh pastries and fruits that just caught our taste buds off guard. Plus, the room was supposed to be a family suite but was like some luxurious retreat instead, so spacious and clean with lovely views of the hotel.

Not exactly cheap but worth every penny.

I stayed in the Superior Two-Bedroom Suite and the room was amazing. Super clean and tastefully decorated. It had all the amenities we needed. The beds were so comfy-we slept like babies! The place had a cozy vibe and was quiet, perfect for a relaxing time. Breakfast options were really good too, fresh and tasty.
